Three years ago, I was in Tolmin and biked there for four days and explored local mountains by bike. This year I decided to go back with frends and ride again. Razor was, and still is one of my favorite rides. Our route starts in Tolmin (very popular destination with tourists interested in outdoor activities) city near Italy. We parked our car on very big parking spot with no entrance fee. From that parking spot starts our ride. First part of the route is on narrow paved road which leads to Tolminske Ravne pasture. From Tolminske Ravne starts ascent to Razor hut, at some parts ascent sections were too steep, so sometimes we had to get off our bikes, and give it a little push (after cca 1 km from Tolminske Ravne there is a spring well).

After Medvednica, Psunj and Brezovo polje peak is place I climbed most often with bike. But now, I can’t remember when was the last time I rode on Brezovo polje. While visiting my parents in Nova Gradiška, I decided to bring my bike to see Brezovo polje. For the first time, start will be from Pakrac. 10 years ago, near Omanovac was famous trail called Konjska staza (Horse trail), but nowdays, this path is jammed, and local bikers advised me not to go there. Even though that trail (Konjska staza) was on my bucket list for a long time, I woudn’t enjoy the ride if I had to carry bike through fallen threes.

So, as it goes, I’ve got contact from a friend of a friend and messaged Santo to guide me through northern part of Psunj. Even though Santo had triathlon that day (had to swim on a race) and had some private obligations, he was kind enough to reschedule and find some time to show me local trails. We were short on time and started from Omanovac ( I drew gpx that starts from Pakrac) and avoided ascent on paved road from Pakrac to Omanovac. Ride to Brezovo polje is combination of unpaved road and singletrack. Along the way you can see old threes, woodcutters do not enter this area because surrounding is mined.

Today, I wanted to ride another route, but my friends prepared something else for me. They’ve got some interesting gpx file and  outvoted me, so we went to Mala Učka and peak Balin. Initial plan was to go on peak Vojak, but we decided to leave that trip for another time. Our route started in Lovran, and first part is on paved road that goes through Liganj, Janjetići and Tuliševica. At 7th km, after Tuliševica we go right to unpaved road that leads to Mala Učka. All the way to Mala Učka is unpaved road with some short singletrack sections. (Two years after we went again this route and parked our car in Moćenička Draga, which is better because when you descend you are closer to car.)
