Vajnež is the highest peak of Belščica 2104 m high. Few years before, Ivan, Vjeko and me went on Stol (peak near Vajnež) so we actually knew what to expect on ascent. Good amount of that route overlap with ascent to Vajnež, so we changed a little bit of our ascent to explore something new. This is the reason why we were so tired when we were just below the peak.

Few years before, we shuttled on Kraljica trail and I remember that this trail as one of the best mtb trails with few serious jumps and drops. Difference now is that we decided to go uphill by bikes and we also  visited another trail called Škabrijel. Ascent is most of the time on asphalt road, near the end we connected to macadam that leads on the entrance to Škabrijel. At the entrance is steel tower with nice view on surroundings, you can see mountain peaks and sea. Škabrijel trail was very nice, similar to Kraljica trail, but little easier. There were very well built jumps, gap jumps and drops. Few drops are very big, but mostly  there are chicken lines, so you can choose what to ride.

For the last day of our mtb weekend we rode in Osp & Tinjan. Day before we rode near Novo Mesto and pedaled 1600 meters of elevation gain.  We were a little bit tired, but descents were interesting so we didn’t want that fatigue comes in our way. We parked in small village called Osp. There is parking space near restaurant and also food is good there, so after ride go grab something to eat over there ( even though this is the only place for food in village, so you don’t gave much choice).
