I don’t even count how many times I visited Grobnik Alps, but this time we wanted to explore trails on our own. Untill now, every time we visited this place we followed someone elses gpx, this time we decided to create our own route and hope for the best. We parked our car in Dražice on free parking lot near main square. We always park here because after ride we eat in local restaurant. From here we started our ride and followed paved road to Soboli to meet with Matko from BK Rodeo. I’ve met him the day before when we rode together on Učka mountain. From there we connected to gravel road that begins near Grobnik race track. From there, path is pretty straight forward. Even though gravel road is on loose surface, pretty steep and very tiring, we prefer this ascent than  asphalt road, but if you like you can choose ascent on paved road.

Kuželjska stena

Although this route is short and there is enough time to hike & bike on Kuželjska stena in one day, Andrej and I decided to go in Kuželj one day earlier to spend some quality time with our friend Vjeran who has cottage located near creek Velika Belica, surrounded with hills. In nightime during clear sky from there you can see all the stars in the world. Since korona virus lockdown Vjeran spent his time over there working from “office”, and during lunchtime building MTB trails. Two trails named PM and AM are finished and have everything that mtb trails should have: jumps, bents, steep, exposed and root sections. Access gravel road starts in front of his house, and both trails end near his backyard. So, if you find yourself in the neighborhood of Brod na Kupi, be sure to plan bike&hike ride on Kuželjska stena and PM and AM trails near cottage. Fun fact is that Horvat, who made Horvat ladders (Horvatove stube), famous hiking trail in Zagreb, is Vjeran’s ancestor, so there is some trailbulding skills carved in his blood.

Year and a half ago I visited Mudna dol ridge for the first time, and on this day I finished fifty percent of my plan to visit Mudna dol in all four year seasons. For now I put check mark on winter and autumn. I will visit Mudna dol soon, but this time without bike (hiking through Mudna dol and then back on west or east ridge seems like very good option). Ivan suggested that we should visit Hahlići this weekend and I agreed without hesitation. I did some searching on google, and found some gpx, but there wasn’t any explanation with it, so we didn’t know what to expect of the route.
