I had a free weekend so I decided to visit Ston, and the next day to visit
Omiš. Ston is a little medieval town whose history reaches back in early 14th century and has longest stone wall in Europe (5,5 km), with his narrow quiet streets, and buildings with ancient culture. Even today you can see plants of the oldest active salt-works in the world. In his history, town Ston was part of Republic of
Ragusa, and famous Walls of Ston where built to protect borders of this maritime republic.
