After visiting (Ivan and me) Preddvor 3 weeks before we were very happy with the local trails, specially Božiček/Silvester that we decided repeat it again and invite Andrej, Stjepan and Gojsi. This time I decided to change the route a little bit, and for the first descent to go on the other side and visit Potoška gora and sv. Jakob. Uphill is the same as before, on steep gravel road, but this time we went on the other hill with the trail that leads to Zavetišče v Hudičevem borštu. We were pleasantly surprised by this trail that we didn’t even realised that we could drink something in the mountain hut, we just continued riding. Luckily few meters after there was a spring of fresh water. On the way to Potoška gora I saw that there is another way over the Javor peak. We decided to go across the ridge and it was the best decision of that day, because that part is one of the best uphill trails I ever rode.

Trail to Javor peak is full of steep ascents, anthills, roots and all that with the view on local mountains. Few times we had to push our bikes on steep sections but it wasn’t a problem because we already in the past hiked with the bike these kind of trails. After reaching Javorov vrh peak we took a rest a little bit and then descended to Preddvor. We came this day to show Andrej, Stjepan and Gojsi Božičkov and Silvester trail, but on the way we found even a better one. Descent from Javorov vrh peak was unknown for us because I haven’t seen any recorded data about this descent, I have only heard from mtb acquaintance that somebody rode it and that he heard it is very good. Those words were good enough for as to visit it.

The upper section of descent is a little bit steeper and filled with roots, but after becomes faster with a few demanding segments. Later we connected on trails Potoška gora and sv. Jakob. Few times we strayed on hiking paths witch actually made the descent even more interesting. After we descended to Preddvor we visited (as the last time) Pizzeria Ursa, ate some pizza and ordered some drink and charged batteries on our bikes. After that we went on another descent with the same access as first ascent. This descent is described in my previous text form before “Kranj: Incredible trails”.
