We had a great three days in Slovakia. First day we rode in Malino brdo bike park, and then we visited Martinske Hole. To explore local trails above Žilina and st. Martin. Trails are not suitable for beginners, because all of them are steep with roots, so you have to be comitted. For uphill we used shuttle car, and we were guided by local riders who were great, and I recommend everybody who ride there to pay locals so the can show you trails, accommodation, cuisine and company. This summer we were staying in town Hvar so I found some local trails that seemed interesting for quick morning ride.  Above Hvar there is famous fortress “Fortica”, local people also call it “Španjola”. But for my ride I chose to ride on higher positioned Fort Napoleon. Since I brought e-mtb with me I decided to go uphill with some trail that seemed rideable. It showed later that it could be ridden with e-mtb. Uphill ride was also inspection of trail condition since I also planned to go downhill with the same trail, so I convinced myself that the trail is maintained.

After visiting (Ivan and me) Preddvor 3 weeks before we were very happy with the local trails, specially Božiček/Silvester that we decided repeat it again and invite Andrej, Stjepan and Gojsi. This time I decided to change the route a little bit, and for the first descent to go on the other side and visit Potoška gora and sv. Jakob. Uphill is the same as before, on steep gravel road, but this time we went on the other hill with the trail that leads to Zavetišče v Hudičevem borštu. We were pleasantly surprised by this trail that we didn’t even realised that we could drink something in the mountain hut, we just continued riding. Luckily few meters after there was a spring of fresh water. On the way to Potoška gora I saw that there is another way over the Javor peak. We decided to go across the ridge and it was the best decision of that day, because that part is one of the best uphill trails I ever rode.
