In 2019. , due to a few upgrades taken on upper part, trail 57 was very popular downhill trail for big amount of bikers in Zagreb, and still is. For access we used popular hiking path Leustek trail described in previous routes (for description look other routes on Medvednica ). When reaching the gravel road on leustek path turn right on gravel road and follow the road until reaching Tigrovo oko (little lake) . From there follow the trail that leads to Grofica hut. After reaching paved road follow the Sljeme road, make sure not to go in opposite direction of the road, could be confusing if you find yourself there for the first time. After about 600 meters you’ll see entrance to 57 trail, it is about 150 meters before entrance to popular “BK Opušteno – Enduro trail”.

In video you can see what this trail has to offer. Be very careful because 57 intersects sljeme road few times, and cars mostly don’t expect that bike will come across.  On this trail I had a crash on the drop (it looks harder than it is because camera fell from my mount so it looks like I hit the ground, but nevertheless it could have gone very bad.  After the drop there is also one kicker that throws you on the head so be sure to check it before jumping ( after the fall I didn’t have guts to jump it :).

All in all, trail 57 is one of my favorites trails in Medvednica, and if you need to choose which trail to ride, be sure to add this trail on your list.

Note: beginning of the 57 trail is also beginning of the Rodeo trail, at some point those two trails separate, so be sure to follow gpx.
