This route is very similar to the route that goes from Komiža to Žena Glava to town Vis. Ascent from Komiža to Hum is the same, but this time I didn’t go to Žena glava, I went on descent back to Komiža. This is probably the hardest trail on island Vis. Steep, narrow trail with loose surface and with some switchbacks.

Exploring Komiža

This is route that I draw on my own, trying to maximize potential of my ebike. Ride explores northwestern side of island Vis. Start is in Komiža, and goes to west coast. I tried to go uphill on hiking trails, but if you go on a regular bike, the climbs can be simplified because gravel roads are mostly nearby ascents.

This was my first time on island Vis. I heard a lots of good things about this island and this year I finally I had opportunity to see it for myself. For my first day of riding I went from Komiža (there was my hotel) to Vis. Idea was to ride trails as much as possible and avoid paved road if possible. First part of ascent is on paved road, which becomes steeper as I was getting close to peak Hum.
