Ascent to first peak Možic is one of the best ascents I ever rode with bike. Beautiful sights with very nice trail. Steep enough to keep you pedaling your bike, but not to make you very tired.
We were lucky that we had Jasmina in our team. She is lot faster than us on ascents, so she takes time to take pictures of us while pedaling uphill.
Ascent to the first peak is doable with bike till the end, after that comes descent (about 3 km), and then starts ascent to peak Kobla. First part of ascent is on gravel road, which later becomes very very steep. We decided it is smarter for us to hike, because it would drain us (Ivan, Gojsi and me) very fast. Jasmina still had a lots of battery, so she even managed to climb this though part.
Just before peak Kobla there is trail which can’t be done uphill with bike, so we hiked with bike this section. After reaching Kobla first section is steep and little exposed, so be careful with descent.
Descent from Možic and first part of descent from Kobla were very promising, but soon after trail from Kobla connects to forrest road that leads to our car in Podbrdo. During our descent with forrest road I looked on the side expecting some singletrack, but we just kept loosing altitude. We were little bit disapointed when we realised that this was our way down. All in all this was good ride with probably one of the best ascents and at the beginning had a lot of potential to be one of the best rides of the year, but descent was not on the same level. Nevertheless I still recommend this ride if you enjoy in pedaling uphill because of the great views on the way and both peaks.
