For now, this is my favourite ride on island Krk. Even better than descent from Obzova to Draga Bašćanska.  This time we started from Batomalj. Due to my recent injury, I lost my form, so we avoided ascent on Moon plateau and immediately started to Obzova peak on paved road. Ascent is the same as our last ride on Obzova, but this time we didn’t follow trail that leads to Draga Bašćanska, we continued by trail that goes by the ridge towards to Velika Hlam peak. From there we went by this trail until we reached unpaved road.

After about one km on paved road we turned left right after old stone wall (visible on video) and from there continued to Bratinac descent. We decided to avoid Vrska glava peak and chose path that goes beside it on the right side because we assumed it will be more pedal friendly, and we chose right.

From there we had beautifull views on Goli Otok, Prvić, Velebit and sea. Trail from Obzova to Bratinac offers many diversities. It has flow sections, technical ascents and descents and short hike sections.

After some time we reached intersection so we could choose if we want to go left (Bratinac) or right (Ljubimer). This time we chose left and let Ljubimer for another time. Descent from Bratinac is at first rocky technical descent with switchbacks, but after some time becomes wider and faster.

Note:
During summer can be very hot, so the ride is not recommended during hot days. Even though this route is only 26 km long, you can expect that it will last from 4-7 hours, depends on your form. Before going on the ride check wind activity, could be very windy. If you choose to go during summer, I advise to go very early. and use lot of suncream. Shins for legs and arms are advised on this trail. Part of our track is beyond trails made by hikers because we chose to ride that way if we assumed that it was more suitable for bike. One of the many advantages is that you can choose where to ride and you don’t have to strictly follow the path as long as you know where to go.
